The exhibition takes place from August 8 to August 17, 2019. This is the third time Long An province has hosted the exhibition. 13 provinces and cities participated in the event including Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Hau Giang, An Giang, Kien Giang, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau and Can Tho City.
The exhibition has 175 works of 157 authors. These works have profound content and high artistic values, reflecting a diverse and vivid picture of people and the socio-economic development of Long An province in particular and the Mekong Delta in general. The authors have creative and rich ideas when using many materials such as lacquer, wood carving, oil painting, synthetic materials, melaleuca shells, etc. in their works.
Authors won the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts Awards
According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts - Tran Khanh Chuong, the art exhibition aims to create conditions for art activities to expand widely through the works that show good traditional cultural values, socio-economic achievements of the region and the country. This is also an opportunity to encourage artists, members and collaborators of fine arts to continue to create the high artistic value works.
Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa congratulated the winners at the exhibition. He believes that artists continue to create many works with high-quality content.
Author Le Thi Tham (Ben Tre province) wins the first prize of the Mekong Delta Fine Arts Awards
At this exhibition, there are 22 award-winning works of the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts Awards and the Mekong Delta Fine Arts Awards.
In the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts Awards, the organizer granted the first prize to author Ha Phuoc Duy (Long An province) for the work ‘Dong trua”; author Le Duy (Tien Giang province) won the second prize for the work "Que me"; and author Bui Quang Vinh (An Giang province) won the third prize for the work "Xam thuc".
In the category of the Mekong Delta Fine Arts Awards, the organizer awarded the first prize for author Le Thi Tham (Ben Tre province) for the work “Thieu nu”; author Dang Kieu Uyen (Ca Mau province) won the second prize for the work “Ca” and author Chau Hoang Trong (Ca Mau province) won the third prize for the work “Thang Muoi Tram chim Dong Thap”.
The Organizer awards the Medal for Vietnam Fine Art Career for outstanding individuals
On this occasion, the Organizer awarded the Medal for Vietnam Fine Art Career and the Merit certificates of the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts for outstanding individuals and collectives./.
