Activities mark 70 years of patriotic emulation appeal

A number of activities have been held across the country to mark the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 – June 11, 2018).

The President Ho Chi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace complex coordinated with the National Archives Centre III to open the exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh with patriotic emulation movement", on June 11. The exhibition displays nearly 100 documents and images. The exhibition runs until June 30.

On the same day, many provinces and cities, such as Da Nang city and the provinces of Dien Bien, Quang Binh, Phu Yen and Quang Nam organised ceremonies to celebrate the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Call for Patriotic Emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2018) and honour organisations and individuals, who made many contributions in implementing the city’s patriotic emulation movements.

Meanwhile, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee have co-organised a ceremony at the provincial cultural centre to celebrate the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s call for patriotic emulation and to honour 70 outstanding organisations and individuals, who made many contributions in implementing the city’s patriotic emulation movements, and 35 individuals and organisations, who won the prize in the writing contest on ‘Studying and Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Thoughts, Morals and Style’.

On the morning of June 11, the delegation of the provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee and the Fatherland Front Committee, as well as the representatives of departments, unions, armed forces and Hue City offered incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien-Hue province./.
