The event was jointly organised by the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the Archives Bureau of the Party Central Office on the 70th anniversary of the former leader’s appeal to the Vietnamese people for their participate in the movement.

The first part of the exhibition focuses on the 1945-1954 period when the newly established Democratic Republic of Vietnam faced numerous difficulties, including severe famine, illiteracy and foreign aggression.

In response to President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal made on June 11, 1948, Vietnamese compatriots and soldiers vied with one another and made significant contributions to the national resistance war against the French.

The second part reflects the emulation activities in socialist building in the north and the struggle for national liberation and reunification in the south during the 1954-1975 period.

The final part of the exhibition recounts the patriotic activities in following the Ho Chi Minh ideology from 1975 up to the present.

The photos on display depict the heroism, self-reliance and self-improvement of every citizen, who has made the best of themselves and joined hands to realise the goals of a wealthy people and a strong country in the new period.
