Bird flu detected in Cambodia
Phnom Penh (VNA) – The bird flu virus was detected in Koh Svay village in Kampong Cham province of Cambodia, recently announced the Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

The ministry said that about 200 chickens suspected to have bird flu were discovered on November 28. Tests on the chickens confirmed the outbreak.
Cambodian authorities have launched measures to prevent the spread of the virus and warned local residents not to sell and use affected poultry products.
In early 2017, the ministry announced bird flu outbreaks, which led to the culling of more than 3,300 chickens and ducks in the two provinces of Kampong Thom and Svay Rieng, which border Vietnam’s localities of Long An and Tay Ninh.
The ministry ordered a month ban of trading and keeping new chickens in the two provinces to stamp out the outbreaks./.
