According to Secretary of Can Giuoc District Party Committee - Truong Thanh Liem, in recent times, with the attention and direction of the Central Government, the province, and the efforts of the district, the investment and business environment of the district has increasingly improved, attracting many enterprises, especially in industrial parks and industrial clusters.

Up to now, the Prime Minister and the Provincial People's Committee have decided to invest in 88 industrial parks and industrial clusters, urban areas, residential areas, resettlement areas, trade and service centers, cemeteries, etc with an area of ​​7,082.6 hectares and 12 key projects of the province and district with a total area of ​​641.35 hectares. In addition, the district also has more than 1,800 enterprises outside the industrial zones, more than 3,500 individual business households, 10 markets, 1 supermarket, 27 convenience stores, etc to meet the shopping needs of the people; 19 credit institutions - banks operate effectively providing financial - credit services, contributing to promoting production and business.

Infrastructure of industrial zones and industrial clusters is focused on investment and exploitation. In the Can Giuoc, there are currently 7 zones and 1 industrial cluster with an area of ​​over 845 hectares in operation. At the same time, the district attracted 457 domestic and foreign secondary investors with a fairly high occupancy rate. Of which, there are 258 FDI enterprises, with a total charter capital of up to 1.282.43 billion USD, 199 domestic enterprises with a total charter capital of over 28,774.7 billion VND. The operating industrial parks, clusters have created jobs for 60,000 workers in the district as well as many neighboring localities, contributing to improving people's lives.

Can Giuoc has a large population of nearly 300,000 people, divided into 14 communes and 1 town, helping the district become a potential and ideal destination for investors to build and develop urban, residential and commercial - service projects. The district has received 67 residential, urban, commercial and service projects with an area of ​​4,816 hectares. Currently, many large-scale, modern urban - real estate projects are being invested in and built: T&T Millennia City Long Hau, Saigon Village, Saigon River Park or Five Star Eco City, etc.

Long An International Port - a bright spot in attracting FDI capital

One of the highlights in attracting investment in the district is that Long An International Port has organized the signing ceremony to put into operation 7 wharves; exploiting container cargo services, waterway cargo transportation and strongly developing logistics services, becoming the hub for import and export and the logistics center in the Southern Key Economic Zone, a new driving force to promote the rapid and sustainable development of the local economy in the coming time.

Thanks to that, the district received investment in the Long An I and Long An II LNG Thermal Power Plant projects with an investment capital of more than 3.1 billion USD in Phuoc Vinh Dong commune. At the Long An International Port project cluster, CS Wind Group (Korea) and Dong Tam Group signed a memorandum of understanding on investment in the construction of the world's largest wind power equipment manufacturing plant to date, with a total expected investment capital of up to 200 million USD, contributing to making Long An province a bright spot in attracting FDI capital.

Along with the strong development of the business community in the province and the whole country, the business community and the team of entrepreneurs in the district have developed rapidly in both quantity and quality. Enterprises have gradually improved their reputation and product brands, proactively integrated into the international economy, and affirmed their position and role in the socio-economic development of the district in particular and the province in general.

In 2024, despite many difficulties, the business community inside and outside the district always promoted the spirit of responsibility, proactively and voluntarily contributed to implementing social security programs, building schools, bridges, and rural roads; donating means of production, building and repairing houses of gratitude and charity for poor households; sponsoring scholarships for studious students in difficult circumstances; renovating many historical relics; supporting the supply of domestic water for people with a total value of more than 120 billion VND.

In particular, during the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, businesses have paid attention to contributing, caring for, and supporting the lives of the poor, workers, laborers who lost their jobs, had reduced working hours, and other difficult circumstances in society with a total budget of nearly 5.3 billion VND.
