On the morning of November 28, the Conference on promoting rural tourism and OCOP products between Long An, Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta was held at the Provincial Conference Center. The conference was attended by Vice Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association, Vice Chairman of Mekong Delta Tourism Association - Vu Chan Hung; Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa with the participation of experts, scientists, tourism businesses, travel agencies, destinations and OCOP product manufacturers in and outside the province.
Long An has a diverse and unique natural ecological landscape. The Dong Thap Muoi river landscape and the Vam Co rivers create a unique feature for the province. In addition, the province also has 1 craft village, 7 traditional craft villages, 10 traditional occupations. Long An currently has 231 OCOP products meeting 3-4 star standards and 6 OCOP product display spots, helping OCOP products to be introduced, promoted, connected to consumption and market development. These are all great potentials for developing rural tourism.

At the conference, delegates discussed the potentials, advantages and challenges in developing rural tourism in the province. In particular, encouraging local people to participate in tourism and training high-quality human resources for the tourism industry are suggestions mentioned by many experts because the local community is the center of rural tourism development.

In his closing speech at the conference, Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa thanked and acknowledged the contributions of experts and delegates.
