Previously, the Long An People's Committee decided to convert the function of Tan Tru District General Hospital into a field hospital specializing in the treatment of Covid-19 patients. The hospital officially received and treated Covid-19 patients from June 26, 2021. This is the second field hospital specializing in the treatment for Covid-19 patients established in Long An province.
The field hospital No. 2 in Tan Tru district has a scale of 100 beds, arranged with 2 entrance gates to separate patients and medical staff. Inside the hospital, there are separate departments and rooms with medical equipment and tools specialized in treating Covid-19 patients.
The hospital's function is to isolate, monitor and treat people infected with Covid-19 in the province. For cases of severe disease or complications requiring intervention, they will be transferred to a higher-level hospital for monitoring and continued treatment./.
