Golf, bodybuilding and marathon tournaments are successfully organized

The 2024 Long An - Korea Friendship Golf Tournament was held at Royal Long An Golf & Villas (Binh Hoa Nam Commune, Duc Hue District). The tournament gathered 140 male and female golfers from many provinces and cities across the country and Korea, divided into 4 groups A, B, C, D based on individual Handicap scores.

In this tournament, golfers competed in 18 holes. These were also the first golfers to experience and explore 9 new holes in the project to expand up to 27 holes of Royal Long An Golf & Villas.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded first, second, third, Best Gross, and technical prizes to golfers.

The 2024 Long An Provincial Bodybuilding Championship was held at the Ben Luc District Culture, Information and Broadcasting Center. This tournament was attended by 16 bodybuilding clubs from 16 provinces and cities with nearly 100 athletes, supervisors and referees from the Vietnam Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation.

After 2 days of exciting, enthusiastic and dramatic competition, the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Long An Provincial Bodybuilding Championship awarded 20 first prizes to athletes. Of which, the Long An Provincial delegation won 10 first prizes.

The 2024 Long An Provincial Marathon was held at the Waterpoint Urban Area (Ben Luc District). The tournament attracted more than 200 athletes from 12 districts, towns and cities.

The tournament was organized in 3 age groups: Boys and girls (10-11 years old) competed in a distance of 2km; boys and girls (12-15 years old) competed in a distance of 4km for girls and 5km for boys; boys and girls aged 16 and over competed in a distance of 5km for girls and 7km for boys.

The Organizing Committee awarded 12 first prizes. Of which, Can Giuoc district delegation won 4 first prizes. Can Giuoc unit also won first place for the whole delegation.

The tournaments were held seriously, transparently and safely; the referees judged the prizes fairly and honestly. During the tournaments, there were no complaints from athletes and no unfortunate accidents.

Meaningful and emotional tournaments

The tournaments are organized to continue promoting the campaign "All people do exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", responding to the 2nd Long An Province Culture - Sports - Tourism Week in 2024 with the message "Long An tourism is safe, friendly, attractive", at the same time expanding the connection and cooperation between provinces and cities across the country, affirming the position of the province, contributing to promoting and developing tourism - sports of Long An province in the coming time.

Bodybuilder Tran Minh Luong (Vinh Phat Training Center - Long An) is still burning with passion despite being 48 years old. Coming to this year's tournament, he won 2 first prizes.

Mr. Luong said: "I am very happy to participate and win prizes. This is the result after many days of training. I really appreciate the Organizing Committee for creating a playground for us to have the opportunity to express ourselves!”.

Bodybuilder Nguyen Hoang Long (HCMC) brought the audience many emotions. Despite losing a leg, he still tried hard to practice, reached the finals and won 5th place in the 165cm male Sport Physique competition. He was honored by the Organizing Committee for his tireless efforts.

The tournaments attracted many spectators. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung (Nhat Chanh commune, Ben Luc district) informed: “I learned about the Culture - Sports - Tourism Week through reading the newspaper. Today, I went to watch the marathon and was really admired the athletes. Many athletes are young but have strong wills, even though they are very tired, they still try to complete their competition”.

According to Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Nguyen Thanh Thanh, the golf, bodybuilding and marathon tournaments were a great success. This is not only a sports playground but also an opportunity for exchange and mutual learning of experiences of other provinces and cities, enhancing the spirit of solidarity and the common development of the physical education and sports movement./.
