The “red thread” of solidarity
National solidarity is a tradition and a valuable lesson of the Vietnamese people throughout the history of building and defending the country. Since its inception and throughout the process of leading the revolution, the Communist Party of Vietnam, founded and trained by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, has always identified “solidarity” as a core value and national solidarity as a strategic path, the source of strength, and the main driving force of the Vietnamese revolution.
National solidarity has become the Party’s revolutionary strategy, a great driving force for the great victories of our nation. President Ho Chi Minh affirmed, “Solidarity, solidarity, great solidarity. Success, success, great success!”.
On November 18, 1930, the Central Committee of the Indochinese Communist Party issued a directive to establish the Anti-Imperialist Alliance. This was the first form of the Vietnam National United Front under the leadership of the Party.
Along with the development of the Vietnamese revolution through each period, with many different names, the Vietnam National United Front, now the Vietnam Fatherland Front, has been constantly consolidated and expanded, meeting the requirements of the revolutionary tasks of each historical period and has made worthy contributions to the great cause of the nation, becoming one of the decisive factors for the victory of the Vietnamese revolution.
Over the past 95 years of its establishment and development, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has promoted the nation's precious tradition of solidarity, multiplied the spirit of patriotism of all Vietnamese people, united and gathered all classes of people in the Front into a powerful force to drive out colonialists and imperialists, gain national independence, unify the country, firmly protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland, and bring freedom and happiness to the people.

Ms. Lam Thi Kim Sinh, Long Thanh Trung parish, said that this year, participating in the festival, Long Thanh Trung parish won the first prize for the whole group. “In the past, every year I joined the parish to participate in the local Great National Unity Day activities. This year, due to the merger of two communes and wards, the organization is somewhat larger in scale. In previous years, our parish only participated in the cooking and performing arts competitions, but this year, everyone also registered to participate in the games. I find this festival activity very meaningful, bringing joy to everyone. The festival also shows the care and concern of the government for the local people,” Ms. Kim Sinh confided.
In the joy of the Great National Unity Day, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Thanh Ward Nguyen Ngoc Anh called on all cadres, party members and people to continue to join hands and unite to successfully implement the socio-economic development goals and build Hoa Thanh Ward to develop rapidly, comprehensively and sustainably, worthy of being the leading locality in the great national unity movement.
Joining the joyful and excited atmosphere of the whole country towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025) and the National Great Unity Day, on November 12, 2025, 22 hamlets in Thuan My commune simultaneously organized the National Great Unity Day.
According to the President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan My commune, Tran Thi Nga, the Festival was organized with many meaningful and practical activities, ensuring both the ceremony and the festival, such as reporting the results of the implementation of the task of building the great national unity bloc; evaluating the results of socio-economic and cultural development of the residential area; praising outstanding collectives and individuals and launching new emulation movements; organizing cultural and sports activities, gathering together for the “Unity Meal”, etc.
The annual National Great Unity Day has contributed to strengthening and tightening the national great unity bloc, connecting the Party, the State and the People.
Every November, the National Great Unity Day in residential areas in Tay Ninh province is organized solemnly, joyfully, and practically with many cultural and sports activities, community exchanges, commending cultural households, advanced models, good people and good deeds. Thereby, promoting the spirit of community solidarity, connecting the village and neighborhood.
Along with that, many self-management models continue to be developed and replicated, especially models on security, order, environmental protection, production, business, sustainable poverty reduction, such as self-managed workers' groups, self-managed security groups, mediation groups, women's groups helping each other escape poverty, farmers' clubs for good economic performance, veterans' associations for traffic safety, etc., which have clearly promoted the proactive role of people in managing, supervising, and organizing life at the grassroots level.
Promoting the spirit of solidarity in building the homeland
Deeply engrave the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh: "Fatherland Front policy is very important. Front work is very important work in the entire revolutionary work", the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province and its member organizations actively propagate and mobilize the people, promote the role of building the great national unity bloc, and effectively carry out patriotic emulation campaigns and movements.
One of the outstanding marks is the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas." With many new models and creative methods, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations have mobilized people to contribute more than 15,000 working days, organized the dredging of more than 250 intra-field canals, contributed more than 472 billion VND to build roads and public works, donated thousands of square meters of land to build new rural infrastructure, built and expanded 126 models of self-managed residential areas to protect the environment, more than 200 models of self-defense, self-management, and self-protection, and 37 models of security and order at the grassroots level.
Up to now, many communes and wards have met the standards of new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model rural areas; the appearance of rural and urban areas is increasingly prosperous, and people's lives are gradually improved.
Responding to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor—leaving no one behind," in recent times, together with Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front at all levels and member organizations have mobilized resources to support poor households, near-poor households, vulnerable people, students with difficult circumstances, etc.
During the term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations mobilized more than 153.2 billion VND from organizations, businesses, and individuals inside and outside the province, thereby contributing to the effective implementation of poverty reduction and social security policies.

Along with that, the emulation movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" for poor households and households in difficult circumstances continued to be promoted and completed the target ahead of schedule, creating a clear mark on social security during the term.
In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels also actively mobilized people to participate in building and implementing grassroots democracy regulations, monitoring and social criticism, contributing to building realistic policies, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of the people.
In recent times, political and social organizations have actively received, reflected, recommended, and organized dialogues between the people and the government, contributing to consolidating trust and strengthening the great national unity bloc.
With high determination and great efforts, we believe that the Fatherland Front at all levels will continue to promote its role as the center of the Ethnic Minority Party bloc, thereby contributing to promoting local socio-economic development, maintaining political security, order, social safety, national territorial integrity, and together with the whole country, firmly entering the new era./.
