Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Environment Administration Nguyen Hung Thinh said that as Vietnam is facing more complicated environment pollution and cornerns, the Party and State have paid close attention to environmental issues, which can be seen through significant guidelines and policies on boosting the environmental industry and promoting environmentally friendly production and consumption.
He noted with pleasure that the exhibition has the participation of up to 140 organisations and enterprises at home and abroad, which manifests itself so that energy technology has drawn increasing attention from the business community and society as a whole.
It is an encouraging sign for Vietnam to continue making efforts to protect the environment despite today’s increasing challenges.
Taking place until June 14 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre under the theme ‘Waste and Energy’, Entech Vietnam 2019 provides a platform for foreign manufacturers to seek business opportunities in Vietnam and the ASEAN region in general.
Meanwhile, it also helps Vietnamese businesses to seek foreign trade partners and promote trading and the transferring of updated and new technologies.
The highlight of this year’s event is the installation of the first-ever Smart City exhibition area, which showcases products, equipment and solutions for smart city development. The 100 metre square area aims to realise the objective of building smart cities with clean and efficient environment solutions for in the future./.
