Long An Provincial People's Committee and VNPT Group continued to sign a strategic cooperation agreement on telecommunications - information technology in the period of 2020 - 2025

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa, Deputy General Director of VNPT Group - Huynh Quang Liem and representatives of departments, agencies, provinces and localities attended the conference.

After 5 years of implementation, the cooperation between the provincial People's Committee and VNPT Group has achieved many practical results. Technical infrastructure of telecommunication - information technology networks can meet the implementation of the e-government and serve industrial zones, clusters and people in the province.

From the beginning of 2015, VNPT Long An has implemented 100 percent photochemical of BTS station and provided full IP transmission for all 3G BTS stations; esured quality and speed. The fixed broadband network has provided optical cable access service for 192 communes, wards, towns and residential areas in the province.

At the same time, VNPT has provided synchronous specialized data transmission network for 100 percent of departments, agencies, People's Committees at all levels.

The implementation of some information technology services and applications in agencies has initially achieved results such as the online public service portal for the province; promoting the application of information technology in the management of education, health care, social insurance, agriculture, and so on.

However, the cooperation has faced some difficulties. Accordingly, the content of cooperation has been not much. Some sectors has been not really interested in applying information technology. Human resources of VNPT Long An and departments and branches have not yet met the timely support in information technology application and e-government implementation.

At the conference, Long An Provincial People's Committee and VNPT Group continued to sign a strategic cooperation agreement on telecommunications - information technology in the period of 2020 - 2025.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa highly appreciated the implementation results of the coordination program. He asked the Department of Information and Communications, Long An VNPT to actively advise to direct the implementation of cooperation contents, strengthen exchanges and timely remove difficulties.

VNPT Group should continue to review and improve the quality of products and services; strengthen local human resources, provide good support to departments, branches and localities in the province to implement the e-government; support and advise the province on the process of building e-government and develop smart urban services in the future.
