Don ca Tai tu has been recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage. In Long An, this movement developed strongly, it contributes to improving the quality of the people’s spiritual life, in which the Meritorious Artisan’s great contribution promoted and developed the movement and vocational transmission for the next generation.

Bong roi Dance is a unique art form of the Southern people, dating from the time of reclamation and establishment of hamlets. Artisan Le Minh Hung is the only dancer of Bong roi in the province recognized as the Meritorious Artisan. He has worked hard to preserve this folk performing arts for over 30 years.

It was known that the President signed a decision to confer the title "People's Artist" to artisan Dang Quat Van (Ward 5, Tan An City) and "Meritorious Artisan" to other 7 artisans in the province in March 2019.
Artisan Dang Quat Van is the first People's Artist in Long An province. Due to the health reasons of artisan, the provincial People's Committee organized the award of "People's Artist" for artist Dang Quat Van at his own home on April 26./.
