Long An promotes tourism to other provinces

Recently, Long An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has implemented many tourism promotion activities, focusing on domestic markets in Kon Tum, Phu Yen and Lam Dong provinces. These trips help Long An innovate tourism, introduce OCOP products, connect and exchange with rural tourism markets of neighboring provinces.

During the working trip to Kon Tum province (from October 18 to 20, 2024) and the working trip to Phu Yen and Lam Dong provinces (from December 12 to 15, 2024), the delegation successfully organized conferences to promote Long An tourism; surveyed, evaluated, and compared local tourism models with rural tourism development, community tourism, and eco-tourism models of Kon Tum province such as Kon Ko Tu Community Tourism Village (Dak Ro Wa commune, Kon Tum city), Abiu tourist site (Ngoc Bay commune, Kon Tum city) and Mang Den town (Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province), etc, thereby helping research and apply new and attractive innovation for rural tourism in Long An.

In addition, the delegation also surveyed a number of attractive destinations such as Ganh Da Dia, Nghinh Phong tower (Phu Yen province), Datanla waterfall, DaLat Fairytale Land (Lam Dong province) to learn experiences in developing tourism combined with preserving, embellishing and promoting traditional cultural values.

Specifically, tourists had the opportunity to experience the daily life of the people, participate in production activities, enjoy typical cuisine, ensure cultural interaction between people and tourists, bring authentic experiences, contribute to protecting nature and local culture.

At the same time, the province also focused on promoting rural tourism based on unique and distinct values. OCOP products are connected and introduced to the tourism markets of the North Central Coast, South Central Coast, and Central Highlands, creating new value chains, contributing to increasing people's income.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Nguyen Thanh Thanh emphasized: “With advantages in culture, history, and nature, Long An is gradually affirming its position on the Vietnam tourism map. In recent years, the Department has made continuous efforts to promote the image of Long An tourism, especially the success of the 2nd Provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Week in 2024. In the coming time, the province will continue to develop tourism products and improve service quality to bring visitors the best experiences”.

As a member of the delegation, an official of the Center for Culture, Information and Broadcasting of Can Giuoc district, Ms. Le Tran Truc Linh shared that promoting tourism is an opportunity to exchange and share experiences in exploiting tourist sources, tourism products, connecting with key markets, etc, in which, focusing on developing eco-tourism and resort models associated with nature conservation.

In addition, this is also an opportunity for representatives of travel businesses, tourist accommodation facilities, tourist areas and destinations in the provinces to exchange and share experiences in grasping customer needs, thereby developing appropriate models of rural tourism, eco-tourism, and community tourism.

Sharing the same opinion with Ms. Truc Linh, an official of the Center for Culture, Information and Broadcasting of Can Giuoc district - Le Thi Thuy Trang said: "Through the tourism survey and promotion trips, the delegation has learned more about the characteristics and culture of other provinces in order to gain experience, propose appropriate tourism development strategies and improve the quality of OCOP products to serve tourists from near and far".

Cooperation between localities is an important factor for sustainable tourism development. With the experience accumulated after the tourism promotion trips, Long An will continue to build and develop unique and attractive tourism products to meet the increasing needs of tourists./.
