Part 1: Attracting investment, driving development
With its steadfast commitment to “cooperation, partnership, and shared growth with businesses—the success of enterprises is the success of the province,” Tay Ninh is fostering a transparent, investor-friendly environment that promotes sustainable development. This vision lays the groundwork for a stronger, more prosperous, and internationally connected Tay Ninh.

The 2025 Conference on Supply Chain Connectivity for Import–Export Goods and E-Commerce attracts nearly 150 enterprises from 25 countries and territories
Strengthening linkages, expanding markets
Strengthening business linkages and expanding markets have become a matter of survival for enterprises in Tay Ninh in particular, and Vietnam in general, amid today’s fierce competition and the volatility of global supply chains. In the first seven months of 2025 alone, around 144,000 businesses nationwide withdrew from the market, up 15.1% year on year, with an average of more than 20,000 firms suspending operations each month — reflecting the mounting competitive pressure.
In this context, Tay Ninh has remained steadfast in supporting, listening to, and facilitating businesses and investors in promoting trade, expanding cooperation, and developing production and business activities. The province has held the Conference on Supply Chain Connectivity for Import–Export Goods and E-Commerce 3 times. Notably, the 3rd edition gathered nearly 150 enterprises from 25 countries and territories, including many leading global investors and distribution corporations. At the event, Tay Ninh signed 8 memoranda of understanding with international partners, opening up new prospects for cooperation in trade, investment, and logistics.
Mr. Paul Le, Vice President of Central Retail Vietnam, said, “Through our research, we found that Tay Ninh has many famous specialties and key competitive advantages—such as dew-wetted rice paper, Tay Ninh salt, and seedless limes. Our group operates 43 retail supermarket chains domestically and internationally, particularly in France. Through this conference, we plan to introduce Tay Ninh’s specialties to our retail system. Notably, we have connected with 40 Vietnamese enterprises to enter the French market, and on October 11, we will showcase Tay Ninh specialties in Paris. This will help French consumers better understand Tay Ninh products. We are also committed to supporting Tay Ninh businesses in working with major European wholesale markets to explore pathways for market entry.”
Established in 2008, Hoang Huy Co., Ltd. (An Luc Long Commune) specializes in the production, processing, drying, treatment, canning, and preservation of fruits and vegetables. As one of the province’s leading agricultural exporters, the company operates 15 warehouses with a total capacity of around 20,000 tons, supplying products to markets such as Japan, South Korea, and Australia.
Company Director Nguyen Khac Huy shared, “Within the framework of the 2025 Supply Chain Connectivity Conference, several foreign enterprises came to survey and work directly with our company. Many expressed interest in long-term cooperation. Moving forward, we plan to invest in new workshops, modern equipment, and machinery to meet partners’ requirements, aiming to bring our products into retail systems in South Korea and Japan.”
Removing Logistics Bottlenecks

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam’s logistics costs currently account for 20–25% of product prices — much higher than the global average — reducing the country’s overall competitiveness. In this context, the business community has called for breakthrough infrastructure and supply chain solutions that ensure rapid, cost-efficient connections and meet global standards, enabling goods to reach international markets directly. Following its administrative merger, Tay Ninh has emerged as a potential logistics hub thanks to its strategic border location, with nearly 369 km of boundary with Cambodia, four international and four national border gates. The province also lies at the intersection of multi-tiered logistics corridors linking the Southeast region, Ho Chi Minh City, and the Mekong Delta.
Vo Quoc Huy, Chairman of the Board of Long An International Port, shared: “Long An International Port has been developed under the Port–Industry–Logistics–Urban model. We have invested in synchronized infrastructure and modern, environmentally friendly equipment. Information technology and technical systems are prioritized to maximize operational efficiency, offering comprehensive logistics solutions at optimal costs. The port plays a vital role in transshipping goods from Vietnam’s largest industrial and agro-aquatic production areas, helping reduce delivery times, minimize risks, enhance international competitiveness, and create tangible added value for businesses.”
Long An International Port recently signed friendship agreements with Portland Port (Oregon, USA) and Gothenburg Port (Sweden), leveraging its advantages and potential. These agreements promote maritime trade, share market insights, develop new shipping routes, and strengthen global supply chain connectivity.
Richard Mellgren, Business Development Manager at Gothenburg Port (Sweden), remarked: “I’m delighted to visit Tay Ninh — a province full of potential, strength, and opportunities. The signing between Gothenburg Port and Long An International Port marks an important milestone, opening the door for both sides to exchange knowledge and expand maritime logistics and trade networks between Vietnam and Sweden.”
With strong determination from local authorities and shared commitment from the business community, Tay Ninh is effectively removing logistics bottlenecks, creating favorable conditions for enterprises and investors alike. This effort helps businesses cut costs, increase product value, and expand exports — affirming Tay Ninh’s position on the global supply chain map and transforming potential into sustainable growth./.
