The delegation visits production facilities in Australia
Following the success of the Tay Ninh (formerly Long An) delegation’s visit to Australia in 2022, Tay Ninh and Australia have maintained a cooperative partnership for sustainable economic development.
Through the cooperation agreement signed between Tay Ninh’s Department of Finance and the Vietnamese Business Association in Australia (VBAA) at the Investment and Trade Promotion Conference in Melbourne in 2022, the two sides have launched a series of investment collaborations. These include a strategic partnership contract on planning, architectural, and technology consultancy for the 190-hectare Phuoc Dong Smart Urban Area project and the Phuoc Dong Industrial Park project (formerly in Long An Province) between IMG Phuoc Dong Joint Stock Company and Elenberg Fraser Australia; and a memorandum of understanding between Nam Long Group and two leading Australian urban planning and consultancy firms, Conybeare Morrison (CM+) and WhiteCorp.
Since then, the network has expanded to include numerous clubs and strategic partners, contributing to greater investment, trade and tourism promotion, community connectivity, and the fostering of lasting friendship.
As part of this working trip to Australia, the delegation will meet with leaders of the states of New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland; hold meetings with the Vietnamese Consul General in Australia, the Vietnamese Business Association in Australia (VBAA) in Melbourne, Victoria, and the Queensland Trade and Investment Office in Brisbane City, Queensland State.
In addition, the delegation will carry out a range of investment promotion activities, including the Tay Ninh Province Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Conference in Melbourne on August 11, 2025; the High-Tech Agriculture Promotion Conference in Brisbane, Queensland on August 12, 2025; and participation in the seminar “Promoting Vietnam–Australia Economic, Trade and Tourism Cooperation” in Sydney, New South Wales on August 14, 2025. These events aim to connect, exchange, and seek cooperation opportunities with Australian organizations, associations, and major corporations.
These programs aim to showcase Tay Ninh’s dynamic, transparent, and promising investment environment and policies to the Australian business community, thereby enriching future multi-sector cooperation opportunities.
Tay Ninh has attracted nearly 1,900 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects from over 40 countries and territories, with total registered capital exceeding 24 billion USD. Australian investors account for 16 projects with a total registered capital of more than 90 million USD, focusing on urban planning, multi-sector technology transfer, and high-tech agriculture. Tay Ninh has also invested in 3 FDI projects in Australia, with a total registered capital of 161 million USD./.
