Long An’s industrial production index up 14,8% in 2 months

According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, Long An’s industrial production index (IPI) in February 2019 was estimated to decrease by 9% over the previous month but rise by 15% over the same period.

Accordingly, the IPI was estimated to rise by 14.8% over the same period. To be more specific, while manufacturing and processing sector witnessed an increase of 14.8%; electricity generation and distribution sector grew by 14%. Also, there was a rise to 7% in the water supply and waste management sector over the same period.

The above statistics indicate the determination of the provincial authorities and business at the beginning of the year. Besides, as a result of the sustainable development of the investment and business environment in the province industrial production has been significantly stimulated.

In order to successfully achieve the socio-economic development targets, especially in the field of industrial production, the Department of Industry and Trade continues to cooperate with related divisions and local authorities. This includes measuring business performance of different enterprises and  tackling their issues), especially when it comes to the major  and export enterprises of key products in  the province, said the Director of Long An Department of Industry and Trade - Le Minh Duc./.
