Long An’s industrial production index rises strongly in April

In April, industrial production index in the Mekong Delta province of Long An increased approximately 2.2 percent compared to last month, and 18.8 percent of the same period of 2017.

Cattle food production is one of the sectors having highest growth rate in April

In the first 4 months of 2018, industry index increased 16.2% of the same period in 2017 (up 13.3%), in which processing and fabricating industry rose 16.3%, whereas electric manufacturing and distribution industry had an increase of 13.1%; water supply, waste water and waste management and treatment were up 14%. Industrial production value in April (according to current price), thereby, was approximately 21,821 billion VNDs, 4.6% higher than last month, and up 21.8% of the same period in 2017.

In April, 69/75 groups of industrial products showed growth rate, while 6/75 groups revealed reduction rate compared to the same period in 2017. The products which have an increase in quantity included medical equipment, sport shoes, handbags, clothes, aquatic food production, cattle food production, artificial fibers fabrics….The products which have a decrease in quantity were artificial fiber, bottled beer, tobacco, steel, pre-mixed concrete…/.
