Long An's state budget revenue in the first 7 months of 2024 reachs 16,841.8 billion VND

On August 6, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut chaired the regular meeting of July to assess the implementation of the socio-economic development plan in July and set out directions and tasks for socio-economic development in August 2024.

In July, the province's economic situation achieved many positive results in all fields. Key crops developed stably, the planting area increased; diseases on crops and livestock were controlled; aquaculture continued to bring positive results.

Industrial production activities developed compared to the same period; accumulated from the beginning of the year, the industrial production index increased by 5.58%. Trade activities continued to develop strongly; total retail sales of goods and service revenue increased quite well (22.4%).

State budget revenue was 16,841.8 billion VND, reaching 79.1% of the province's estimate, increasing 48.3% over the same period. Domestic and foreign investment promotion activities continued to be effectively implemented; investment attraction indicators all increased compared to the same period, especially investment in domestic projects increased by more than 93,000 billion VND. Public investment continues to be focused on and directed strongly, with a disbursement rate quite high compared to the plan.

Three key projects and the Program to mobilize all resources to build a synchronous transport infrastructure system to serve industrial and urban development in the key economic region are being focused on.

In addition to the achieved results, the socio-economic situation of the province in the month still has some difficulties and limitations such as the consumption of agricultural products is not favorable compared to the previous month; production and business activities of a number of enterprises are still facing difficulties; the number of dissolved enterprises is high (increase 37% over the same period); the growth rate of the industrial production index is still low compared to the requirements; some investors have a disbursement rate lower than 50% of the plan; some localities have low budget revenue; etc.

At the meeting, representatives of leaders of departments, branches and localities discussed and assessed the state budget revenue situation and the progress of public investment disbursement. At the same time, they raised difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process and made recommendations and proposals to ensure that budget revenue and public investment disbursement meet the set progress.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut highly appreciated the efforts of departments, branches and localities in the past time, despite many difficulties, they still achieved positive results in areas such as increased total budget revenue and disbursement rate of public investment capital; positive import and export situation; high rate of high school graduates; etc.

In addition, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that departments, branches and localities continue to closely follow the key tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee; focus on reviewing and accelerating the progress of budget collection and disbursement of public investment capital; focus on drafting documents for Party Congresses at all levels; focus on preventing and combating diseases in humans and animals; strictly control revenue and expenditure; proactively adjust approval and allocation of capital; pay attention to and remove difficulties for businesses; focus on implementing the Laws that take effect from August 1; focus on supplementing medicines and medical equipment; prepare for the opening of the new school year; etc.

In addition, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that departments, branches and localities soon complete the construction of a cashless roadmap; continue to evaluate and manage the sale of goods via social networks; prepare contents for the Provincial People's Council meeting in August; prepare the program for the Provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Week in 2024; focus on doing well in personnel work; etc./.
