Long An's state budget revenue reaches nearly 21,000 billion VND in 2023

According to Director of Long An Tax Department, Standing Deputy Head of Steering Committee for urging collection of provincial state budget - Nguyen Van Thuy, the total state budget revenue in 2023 for the whole province is 20,975 billion VND, reaching 108.5% of the central estimate, 104.1% of the local estimate (of which, revenue from tax is 17,695.795 billion VND, reaching 119% of the Central estimate, 112.8% of the local estimate; revenue from customs is 3,279,652 billion VND, reaching 73.4% of central and local estimates). Achieving the above results demonstrates the efforts of the entire Tax sector in particular and the determination of the entire political system, people and business community in general.

At the conference, representatives of departments, branches and localities presented and contributed ideas and solutions in the process of state budget collection so that by 2024, this work will achieve results as planned.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, Head of Steering Committee for urging collection of provincial state budget - Huynh Van Son recognized and praised the achievements of the entire political system, and in particular the provincial tax sector.

Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Van Son requests the Tax sector and local authorities at all levels, departments and branches to continue to raise awareness and focus on a number of key contents in implementing state budget collection.

2024 is the second year the province balances its own budget and regulates the central budget, the third year in the 2022-2025 budget stabilization period, and the fourth year of implementing the Provincial Party Committee Resolution. Therefore, to complete the task of state budget collection in 2024, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the Tax sector and local authorities at all levels, departments and branches to continue to raise awareness and focus on: Continuing to thoroughly grasp, propagate widespread awareness and act consistently and effectively with the motto "considering businesses and people as both motivation and resources", considering people and businesses' satisfaction and the compliance with the law as measurement of work efficiency.

The Tax sector must urgently provide fundamental and appropriate solutions to quickly overcome the shortcomings and limitations that have been pointed out; promote achieved results and provide specific plans and solutions to well perform assigned tasks.

Long An will continue to accompany taxpayers, effectively implement new tax policies, especially mechanisms on tax, fees, charges exemption and reduction, tax payment extension in accordance with the actual situation to support and remove difficulties for the business community and workers, contribute to creating a favorable and fair business investment environment, encourage investment, and promote socio-economic recovery and development. Finance agencies, Tax agencies, customs, heads of departments, branches, and organizations of the province, Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, towns and cities must strive and be determined to exceed state budget revenue assigned by the competent authority at the highest level./.
