Long An: State budget revenue in 2022 is estimated at nearly 22 trillion VND

On December 21, Long An held a meeting to celebrate state budget revenue in 2022. The total revenue of the province as of December 19, 2022 reached 21,182 billion VND, of which domestic revenue was 16,982 billion VND, reaching 126.6 percent of the central estimate, 123.3% of the local estimate and equaling 122% of the same period; Customs revenue reached 4,200 billion VND, reaching 111.6% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government and equaling 102% of the same period.

Total state budget revenue in 2022 is estimated at 21,800 billion VND, of which domestic revenue is estimated at 17,500 billion VND, reaching 130.5% of the central estimate and equaling 121.1% of the same period.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc recognized and praised the achievements in the state budget collection in 2022. In order to complete the task of state budget collection in 2023, he suggested the tax sector and local governments at all levels, departments and agencies to continue to spread awareness and act consistently and effectively with the motto "considering businesses and people as both driving force and resource", taking people's and businesses' satisfaction, the sense of compliance and law observance as the measure of work efficiency.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that the tax sector should focus on a number of key solutions, in which, continue to develop, review and give suggestions to the Central Government to improve the state budget-financial institutions and policies, and expand the revenue base, especially new sources of revenue in accordance with current law provisions and local realities, effectively exploiting resources from land and infrastructure, continue to accompany taxpayers, implement well the latest tax policies, which are mechanisms and policies on tax, fees and charges exemption and reduction, tax payment extension in accordance with the actual situation to support, remove difficulties for the business community and employees, create a favorable and fair business investment environment, encourage investment, and promote the recovery and development of the socio-economy. Financial authorities, tax authorities, customs and heads of departments, branches, provincial mass organizations, chairpersons of People's Committees of districts, towns and cities strive to exceed budget revenue estimates assigned at the highest level; implement synchronously solutions to improve the balance of budget revenue - expenditure; effectively exploit state budget revenues; review and assess revenue sources, thereby urgently implementing solutions to increase state budget revenue of the province from the beginning of 2023; etc.

At the same time, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee directed branches and all levels to consider state budget revenue as a common task of the entire Party and people in mobilizing revenue, meeting the spending needs of the state budget for investment and development of the country. Sectors and levels need timely attention, coordination and support with the Tax and Customs branches in the collection of state budget according to the functional scope of the sector and locality; relieve congestion to increase revenue; strive to complete the assigned estimate in 2023./.
