Over 50 agricultural scientists honoured

The ceremony was attended by Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong; members of the CPV Central Committee: VFU Chairman Thao Xuan Sung, Permanent Deputy Head of the PCC's Commission for Mass Mobilisation Dieu K’Re, and representatives of leaders of ministries and branches.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan also sent flowers and congratulations to the event.

After more than four months of implementation, the organising board received 63 nominees from 49 provinces and cities nationwide and ministries.

The Central Appraisal Board selected 53 outstanding individuals, representing for scientists, professors, doctors, engineers and farmers who have made great contributions to the agricultural sector and the people's life.

Among them, there are 14 "amateur scientists". They are farmers with many inventions recognized and widely applied in the community, bringing benefits to society./.
