Promoting trade, stabilizing output for agricultural products

According to Director of Department of Agriculture and Rural Development - Nguyen Thanh Truyen, the formation and development of safe food supply chains has contributed to increasing supply and gradually meeting the demand for safe products in the province, thereby improving the competitiveness of products, creating favorable conditions to promote the development of commodity agriculture. However, trade promotion, market search, and product output still face many difficulties.

“In order to implement trade promotion activities and find outputs for agricultural products, the provincial Agriculture sector in collaboration with the Industry and Trade sector regularly organizes enterprises, cooperatives, and economic subjects to participate in many fairs and events to introduce agricultural products both inside and outside the province," said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Truyen.

Director of Vuon Nha Minh Co. Ltd - Pham Ngoc Anh Tuan has brought the company's products to many trade fairs inside and outside the province.

In the first months of 2023, the functional sector has supported enterprises, cooperatives and economic subjects to participate in fairs in Hanoi and Can Tho; connected Long An Dragon Fruit Association with  APEC BCI Trade Union in terms of product consumption and investment, and organized many other programs and policies to help enterprises expand their consumption markets.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the assigned funding for trade promotion and supporting industries in 2023 is 2.145 billion VND, of which the cost of implementing the trade promotion program is 1.995 billion VND. Up to now, the Department has completed 12/18 plans with a budget of 838 million VND (accounting for 53.6% of the approved budget), the remaining 6 plans will continue to be implemented in the near future. Specifically, in the first 6 months of the year, the Department has supported 69 enterprises to participate in fairs and exhibitions; supported 4 enterprises to receive the survey team and connect directly with 18 Chinese enterprises.

In the past time, the company has been facilitated by related departments and branches to participate in trade fairs and exhibitions to promote output, connect to many new partners, making business and product consumption more convenient.

Ltd - Pham Ngoc Anh Tuan shared: “The fair is an opportunity for the company to approach and capture the tastes of customers, thereby, having appropriate business strategies. Since the beginning of 2023, the company has participated in many exhibitions and trade fairs in Ho Chi Minh City and the southwestern provinces.

“Identifying the trade promotion of agricultural products is important, contributing to promoting the production, processing and consumption, building brands and improving the value of agricultural products in the locality, in the last months of 2023, the Department will continue to do trade promotion activities such as connecting provincial enterprises with Chinese enterprises; supporting enterprises to export to Alibaba e-commerce platform; organizing mobile stores in industrial parks; supporting enterprises to participate in fairs and exhibitions connecting supply - demand in the provinces;etc, thereby, contributing to supporting enterprises, cooperatives and farmers to develop production and expand consumption domestic and foreign markets” - Deputy Director of Department of Industry and Trade - Chau Thi Le informed./.
