Tan Thanh's tourism development potential

As the "cradle" of the revolution, a place marking many glorious victories of the older generation, with strong development and diversity of fruit orchards and a complete transportation system, Tan Thanh district, Long An province is considered one of the localities with rich potential for developing eco-tourism associated with "red addresses".

Tan Thanh district has National Highways 62 and N2 passing through, which are important traffic axes in connecting the regions, promoting economic development.

Implementing the district's policy, the structure of crops and livestock is shifting towards exploiting the local potential and advantages, bringing positive results. In recent years, farmers in Tan Thanh district boldly switched from growing ineffective rice to growing fruits.

To date, the total area of fruit trees in the district is more than 2,007 hectares, initially bringing high economic efficiency, contributing to increasing income, improving quality of life, and opening up the potential for ecotourism development.

Besides, during the two resistance wars against the French colonialists and the American imperialists, Tan Thanh district was the "cradle" of the revolution, marking many glorious victories. To preserve and promote cultural and historical values, the district has received funding from all levels and sectors to build and restore many historical relics such as the Regional Party Committee Base, Southern Administrative and Resistance Committee, Rice Field 41 relic, etc.

Among them, the most prominent are the Regional Party Committee Base and the Southern Administrative and Resistance Committee - where the headquarters of leadership agencies at all levels are located and also where senior Party leaders such as Ton Duc Thang, Le Duan, Pham Van Bach, Tran Van Tra, etc lived, worked, and led the Southern revolution to victory. This place is also associated with the heroic victories of the Battalions 307, 309, Regiments 120, 105.

Relics of the Regional Party Committee Base and the Southern Administrative and Resistance Committee

The relic site of the Regional Party Committee and the Southern Administrative-Resistance Committee was built with a total cost of nearly 130 billion VND, located in Bui Thang hamlet, Nhon Hoa Lap commune, Tan Thanh district. The relic site has 25 con items, of which the highlight is the pavilion displaying different topics of the Dong Thap Muoi region. The relic site is a place to educate revolutionary traditions for the younger generation, becoming a "red address" for people inside and outside the province.

Along with that, Tan Thanh is the gateway to the districts of Dong Thap Muoi region, with many vital traffic routes such as National Highways 62, N2, etc. With this advantage, the district aims to link the region to create attractive tours such as the relics of Regional Party Committee Base and the Southern Administrative-Resistance Committee - Floating Pagoda (Vinh Hung district) - Sam Mountain (An Giang province).

Along National Highways 62 and N2, the district can develop catering services, resorts, etc. The development of green, clean agriculture associated with tourism in recent times has also been highly promoted.

By switching from growing low-yield rice to fruit trees, Tan Thanh increases farmers income and opens up the potential for developing orchard ecotourism.

Tan Thanh district is focusing resources on perfecting infrastructure to ensure connection between production areas, strengthening trade promotion, and finding outlets for local agricultural products.

With the determination of the government and the consensus, hospitality, and aspiration of the people, the potential for developing green eco-tourism associated with "red addresses" promises to bring unforgetable experiences for tourists when coming to Tan Thanh district./.
