At the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc highly appreciated the achievements of the high-tech application of agricultural development program. Specifically, the propaganda has contributed to a positive change in the awareness of cadres, civil servants and people. Many highly effective models have been well received and supported by the people. After being trained, many households have invested themselves in building net houses and economical irrigation systems; applying synchronous mechanization from sowing, fertilizing, spraying, harvesting and using organic fertilizers to gradually replace chemical fertilizers. Investment and trade promotion, safety monitoring and certification of safe food supply chain products have been strengthened. Many contracts to supply clean products to distributors inside and outside the province have been implemented, contributing to the consumption of products for farmers.

Implementing Resolution 08-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of Vietnam Farmers' Association of Long An province has focused on propagating and mobilizing members and farmers to implement the project for the period 2017-2020. Recently, the Vietnam Farmers' Association of Long An province has implemented four pilot models using loans from the Farmer Support Fund with an amount of over 2.5 billion VND, including the high technology application in vegetable planting in Phuoc Lam commune, Can Giuoc district; high technology application in rice planting in Thanh An commune, Thanh Hoa district; high technology application in dragon fruit planting in Vinh Cong commune, Chau Thanh district; high technology application in breeding beefs and cows in Hoa Khanh Dong commune, Duc Hoa district.

According to the Vice Chairman of Vietnam Farmers' Association of Long An Province - Ngo Thanh Tuyen, thanks to the Farmer Support Fund activities, many farmer groups have linked and developed, creating a premise for cooperative economic development, cooperative groups and cooperatives in rural areas. Annually, the Association alternately supports over 1,500 household members to have production capital; built over 80 effective economic models, contributing to the formation of professional associations, cooperative groups and cooperatives. These models create conditions for farmers to share experiences and techniques in production; apply advanced science and technology to production, create clean and safe products.

According to the Chairman of Vietnam Farmers' Association of Phuoc Lam commune, Can Giuoc district - Dang Trung Hau, in 2017, thanks to the attention of the upper-level Farmers Association, the cooperative group of high-tech vegetable planting was supported to implement the project from the Central Farmers support fund. Accordingly, 10 farmer households were able to borrow 500 million VND for 36 months with an area of 3.5 hectares. After receiving the capital, the Commune Farmers Association and the provincial Vocational Training & Support Center for Farmers opened a training course and transferred scientific and technical advances into production such as building net houses, automatic saving irrigation systems, agricultural mulch, organic fertilizer, etc; carried out trade promotion to ensure the output and selling price of agricultural products. From the support capital, the members focused on production; the average income per household increased from 25-30 million VND per year to 40 - 45 million VND per year.

Member of the Central Standing Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association in charge of the South - Pham Minh Hung said: “The provincial Party Committee and People's Committee should consider to continue allocating more funds to the Farmers Support Fund in 2020 so that the Vietnam Farmers' Association of Long An province can implement the models according to Resolution 08-NQ/TU. Based on the achieved results, the Vietnam Farmers' Association of Long An province should focus on trade promotion; building trademarks to ensure that products manufactured in accordance with high technology standards and have stable outputs (especially in the project area); building a linkage model from production to consumption./.
