Vegetable sprouts distributed for Bangkok residents in lockdown

Vegetable sprouts distributed by the BMA are easy and quick to grow, said a BMA official. They require less space, so people can grow them in front of their house or on their terrace.

The official added that the project enables citizens to grow crops for consumption or to sell to generate income. The BMA has also handed out 2,500 planting kits.

Thailand has been under the state of emergency since March 26 until the end of April to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak.

The country reported 15 new COVID-19 cases and no deaths on April 26, bringing the total number of these groups to 2,922 and 51, respectively.

Bangkok capital saw the largest infection number nationwide, followed by Phuket tourist island and Bangkok’s neighboring province of Nonthaburi./.
