On average, enterprises will buy rice from cooperative members higher than outside 200-300 VND per kilogram. This helps members have more profits and affirms the prestige of the cooperative.”

In 2015, Tan Tay commune reached the new-style rural standard. That is a proud result of the Party Committee, the government and the people. Being recognized as a new-style rural commune is not easy, but maintaining and improving the quality to be recognized as an advanced new-style rural commune is even more difficult. Vice Chairman of Tan Tay Commune People's Committee - Nguyen Xuan Hao said: “Tan Tay is a purely agricultural commune. Therefore, the good implementation of production organization criteria is an important "key" to be recognized as an advanced new-style rural commune early. Up to now, the commune has over 500ha of high-tech rice application. The commune is supporting the establishment of apricot and cluster cooperatives; continue to carry out procedures for Kim Thoa pineapple candy to meet OCOP standards; etc.

Can Duoc district is expanding the area for Muoi Safe Vegetable Cooperative, contributing to improving people's quality of life, aiming to successfully build advanced new-style rural commune

In Long Khe commune, Can Duoc district, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee - Nguyen Thanh Oai said: “Currently, the district has planned 30 hectares of high-tech vegetables around the Muoi Hai Safe Vegetable Cooperative. Here, the district will invest in building rural transport infrastructure and support farmers with funds to grow vegetables with high-tech applications. Certainly, when completing the 30-hectare planning of growing vegetables with high-tech applications around the Muoi Hai Safe Vegetable Cooperative, people's lives will continue to improve, especially helping the commune to soon be recognized as an enhanced new-style rural commune" .

Benefits for farmers

Reporters went to Kien Binh commune, Tan Thanh district to learn about the benefits of participating in high-tech rice fields in production. Huynh Chi Thang (Da Bien hamlet) - a good farmer in production and business for many years, shared: "The weather is complicated, pests are increasing, the price of agricultural inputs increases, if farmers do not change their production practices, rice cultivation will lose or break even. When the commune mobilized to participate in the high-tech rice area, I immediately agreed and called for many people to participate. Currently, I have 3 hectares in the high-tech rice area, the profit is 2-3 million VND/hectare/year higher than outside.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, when participating in the agricultural development program applying high technology on vegetables, rice, lemons, dragon fruit, cows, shrimp, farmers enjoy many benefits such as capital to build models; application of technical advances in the cultivation process; profits increase; etc. As a result, many localities have established cooperative groups, cooperatives, and products meeting OCOP standards. This is one of the mandatory conditions for localities to be recognized as meeting new-style rural standards and enhanced new-style rural areas.
