According to the District People's Committee, the lack of daily-life water has happened for many years, especially in the dry season. In particular, this year, drought and saltwater intrusion are complicated, so the water shortage is more serious. Local people have to buy water at a much higher price than usual.

Although the local authority has implemented many measures to support the people, it still cannot meet their needs. Therefore, the District People's Committee proposed to the Provincial People's Committee to inspect and urge the investors to quickly carry out the project in order to serve the people early.

In addition, the district authorities will strengthen coordination with departments, agencies and sectors to create favorable conditions for water supply units in the area to implement related issues.

Representative of DNP Long An Water Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company committed to complete the project before April 25 to bring water from Nhi Thanh Water Plant to Can Giuoc district.
