Director of the Import-Export Department - Phan Van Chinh gives some information about the Chinese market

Among the nine types of Vietnamese fresh fruit that are allowed to be officially exported to the Chinese market (including dragon fruit, mango, watermelon, litchi, longan, banana, jackfruit, rambutan and mangosteen), Long An has four types of fruit with relatively large planting area (dragon fruit, watermelon, banana and jackfruit).

In order to export these fruits to the Chinese market, exporters must comply with Chinese regulations (requiring goods to have a growing area code, a packing establishment code and a origin tracking stamp). Most of the province's agricultural products are exported to the Chinese market through informal channels.

It is forecasted that the fruit consumption situation of the provinces may face some difficulties in the coming time, due to the increasing requirements for quality and traceability of export markets; In particular, the Chinese market may increase disease control measures further, which may slow down export progress, cause congestion of goods at border gates, and cause damage to business operations.

At the conference, cooperatives and businesses also raised difficulties and problems in exporting goods, especially agricultural products through official and unofficial channels, and required legal support for exporting goods to the Chinese market.

On behalf of the delegation, Director of the Import-Export Department - Phan Van Chinh highly appreciated the interest of the province and the Industry and Trade sector in import and export activities in the province.

At the same time, he also noted the suggestions and recommendations of localities, cooperatives and businesses to summarize and report to the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for consideration and removal in the coming time./.
