Effectively deploy vocational education and job creation solutions
On April 4, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Long An province organized a conference to summarize vocational education and training for rural workers in 2023 as wel as deploy solutions to promote labor training in 2024.

Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa said that the conference aimed to consult with experts and scientists at universities, vocational education establishments, businesses, agencies and units in and outside the province, thereby finding solutions to develop vocational education and training the province's labor resources in 2024, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources.

According to the 2023 report, to raise awareness of vocational education with students, the province organized seminars such as Career Guidance Program: University is not the only path; Consulting and career guidance for nearly 12,000 students at middle and high schools and propaganda on many mass media.
In addition, vocational education institutions also strengthen links with universities and colleges inside and outside the province, as well as organizations, units and localities, thereby increasing the rate of students continuing vocational training and receiving intermediate training to 17.78% (an increase of 1.32% compared to 2022 (16.46%)).
Last year, vocational education institutions provided training according to orders from 20 businesses; coordinating over 200 businesses to develop training curriculum and organize practical training and internships for teachers and students.
In order to promote labor training in 2024, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa requested that departments and branches coordinate with educational institutions and businesses to effectively deploy vocational education solutions; strengthen propaganda of the Party's policies and guidelines, and the State's policies and laws on vocational education and job creation.
