First virtual reality experience center opened in Vietnam

VINASA and KOVRA signed the MOU about the cooperation in the development of virtual reality technology (Photo SGGP)

As one of the activities to boost mutual work on technology between Vietnam and South Korea governments, Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) and Korea Virtual Augmented Reality Industry Association (KOVRA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on December 19 in Hanoi about the cooperation in the development of virtual reality technology.

Virtual Reality (VR) is the technology which allows its users to acquire true feeling when interacting with the virtual environment. For instance, when users wear a VR headset and look around in a projected environment of ocean, they will have a feeling that they are actually diving into the deep sea.
Augmented Reality (AR) and VR are considered the two key elements in the 4th Industrial Revolution and have a promising future of being widely used in various aspects of life via the creation and development of suitable content.

According to Mr. Dao Dinh Kha, Director General of the Department of Information Technology (Ministry of Information and Communications), to keep up with international technology trends, the industry of software and IT in Vietnam is trying its best to develop a strong foundation as well as capable human resources through cooperative relationships and supports of others.

With this MOU and the grand opening ceremony of the VR experience zone camp (operated by 3D Factory of Korea) in Lotte Center, Hanoi, the collaboration between Vietnam and Korea regarding VR technology has begun./.
