Former state president Sang attends inaugural ceremony of traffic works in Long An

Nong Thon Viet (Viet countryside) magazine and Long An province’s Thanh Hoa district People’s Committee jointly organized the inaugural ceremony of 15 traffic works in the district, on April 20.

Former State President Truong Tan Sang, secretary of Long An Party Committee cum Chairman of People’s Council Pham Van Ranh and the localities, people attended the event.

15 traffic works (including 14 bridges and 1 sewage system) had been implemented at two communes of Tan Hiep and Thuan Binh worth VND 13.1billion.

Of these, VietsovPetro sponsored VND 7.7billion to build seven bridges; Dong Tam Corp and Truong Hai auto Corp supported VND 3.34 billion to build four bridges; Hung Thinh construction Corp contributed VND 1.097 billion and Kien Long Corp with VND 967million to build 2 bridges.

Sponsors give gifts to disadvantaged families

The rural bridge program is launched by former state president Truong Tan Sang and Viet countryside magazine is considered as the organization board to call for the contribution from enterprises across over the country.

At the inaugural ceremony, former state president Sang said this program would help the two communes improve traffic issue, meeting the traveling demand of local people. It is to contribute boosting socio-economic development and defense security in the Long An’s localities.

On this occasion, VietsovPetro presented gifts to Tan Hiep and Thuan Binh Kindergartens worth VND 15million. Other sponsors gave disadvantaged families in the commune’s gifts worth VND 500,000 each./.
