Workers at Mat Troi Do (Red Sun) Enegy Company in Long An
Receiving funds from the program, Tan Tru district headquartered Hong Gia Vy Company, specializing in making rice and sticky rice flour to supply processing and packaging comapanies in HCMC, has invested incentrifugal water separator with the capcacity of 400 kilogram an hour, reducing production time and costs and ensuring food safety.
Artisan Vo Van Ut, who has done wood carving for the last 15 years, has purchased an automatic carving machine to meet market demand of traditional carved products and deal with labor scarcity, improveproductivity and product value.
Long An Industry Promotion and Industry Development Consulting Center has worked with Manh Phat business household which Mr. Ut is the owner to implement a VND250 million project to invest in wood carving machines. Of the funds, VND100 millon comes from the province’s industry promotion source.
Mr. Pham Anh Dung, deputy chairman of Phuoc Loi commune People’s Committee in the district, said that the financial assistance aims to help Mr. Ut maintain and develop the traditional career according to the province’s plan on developing rural jobs by 2020.
In addition, the center has assisted Mat Troi Do Energy Company in Duc Hoa district to conduct a technology renewing project applied in solar panel production line with the total capital of VND2.3 billion, including VND200 million from national industry promotion fund.
Director general of the company Diep Bao said that the project equips the company with an automatic battery welding machine, which has increased the plant’s capacity in Long An by 10 percent to 12 MW a year and reduced CO2 emission.
Total investment capital is quite large compared to the supported amount from the program. However that is a lever for businesses to speed up equipment investment and improve production capacity.
As per plan, the company will continue investing in one more machine this year and two others in the following year.
Mr. Nguyen Van Bon, director of the Industry Promotion and Industry Development Consulting Center, said that implementing the provincial Department of Industry and Trade’s requirement, the center has built a plan to provide technical and equipment assistances to cooperatives and businesses with the total cost of VND1 billion from the province’s industry promotion fund.
Aside from that, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has provided VND1.36 billion from national industry promotion fund for the purpose.
The center is now surveying and building a plan to further assist businesses in 2018./.
