Long An strives to clear 1,450 hectares of land in 2025
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in 2025, Long An province registered the target of completing compensation and site clearance for 1,050 hectares and striving for 1,450 hectares.
The Provincial People's Committee has issued a plan to implement compensation, site clearance and resettlement to meet the assigned targets and resolve a number of projects with difficulties and problems in compensation and site clearance.

In addition, the province will deploy the contents, targets and tasks in a unified, synchronous and effective manner, correctly and fully identify the problems and difficulties in compensation, support and resettlement in order to propose solutions to effectively overcome and remove them; assign specific tasks to each level and each sector, with a suitable roadmap and time to complete each content and task.
In 2025, the province registered to complete compensation and site clearance for an area of 1,050 hectares, striving for 1,450 hectares to attract investment for socio-economic development.
On that basis, the province requested to promote all resources to effectively implement the targets.
In the process of organizing the implementation of this task, relevant levels, sectors, and units must strengthen close coordination to overcome and thoroughly resolve arising problems and difficulties.
In particular, agencies and units must consider site clearance as a key political task of the political system, especially the heads of Party committees and authorities where the project is located, as a key stage and step of great significance in the process of implementing investment projects.
From the beginning of the year to May 8, 2025, the whole province has paid compensation for more than 578 hectares. Thus, since the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 25 on November 4, 2021, the whole province has paid compensation for nearly 3,900 hectares/4,000 hectares (reaching 97.43% of the Resolution target)./.
