Since the beginning of 2025, the province has compensated and cleared nearly 400 hectares of land

Recognizing that land compensation and site clearance play an important role in the socio-economic development of the locality, provincial authorities have taken strong measures from the beginning of 2025. The Department of Agriculture and Environment submitted a plan to the Provincial People’s Committee outlining compensation, site clearance, and resettlement efforts for 2025, which has since been rolled out.

Since the beginning of 2025l, the whole province has paid compensation and cleared nearly 400 hectares. Of which, the area paid to households for land acquisition to implement the project is more than 395 hectares (15 hectares for public investment projects; over 380 hectares for projects funded outside the state budget); 4 hectares to support households in Duc Hue district to facilitate the demarcation and installation of land border markers between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Thus, since the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 25 dated November 4, 2021, up to now, the whole Long An province has paid compensation for clearance over 3,718 hectares/4,000 hectares (reaching 92.97% of the Resolution target)./.
