Long An has many potentials and advantages to break through, develop and promote the development of the Mekong Delta. In addition, the province has implemented many reasonable policies and decisions in attracting investment and creating favorable conditions for enterprises to invest and operate. Provincial leaders always accompany enterprises, promptly remove obstacles and difficulties in the process of operation so that enterprises can rest assured in production.

The province is constantly innovating, focusing on improving the investment environment, administrative reform, strengthening trade promotion, promoting the image of the province,etc. For many years, the province has been in the top group of the country in terms of administrative reform; open, transparent and competitive business investment environment; stable economic growth over the years.

Long An plans 15,000 hectares of land for industrial development, in which there are about 4,000 hectares of land available for lease in operating industrial zones and clusters. Infrastructure of industrial zones and clusters is being completed, ensuring good service for investors. A series of large projects with modern technology are now ready to welcome investors. The province also has bundant, quality human resources, meeting the production and business process of enterprises,etc.

According to the representative of the Management Board of expanded Tan Kim Industrial Park (Can Giuoc District) - Huynh Van Banh, in the process of completing and receiving investment, the company has always been helped by the provincial leaders, creating all favorable conditions for operation from relevant mechanisms, policies as well as procedures. The company considers Long An a friendly, safe and effective investment destination. The industrial park has received secondary enterprises since 2015, currently there are about 60 enterprises operating, filling nearly 100%.

Ltd (located in Duc Hoa district with 100% capital from Singapore) - Erng Sow Ngoh said: After investigating, the company has invested and operated in Long An for many years. This decision is reasonable and correct. In recent years, the production and business of the company has been very stable. Local leaders always create favorable conditions for the company to operate. Company specializes in garment processing for export with over 2,000 employees.

A bright spot in attracting FDI

According to the General Statistics Office, as of June 2023, Long An ranked 5th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide in terms of FDI attraction.

Long An has paid special attention to investment promotion, attraction, support and successfully organized many related conferences and activities to promote domestic and foreign investment promotion. The province has also drastically implemented solutions to improve the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI); promulgated the Investment Promotion Program in 2023; implemented the District and Department Competitiveness Index (DDCI); organizied delegations to visit and encourage enterprises to overcome difficulties in key industrial development districts, etc. Thanks to the rational and correct implementation of policies and decisions in investment promotion and attraction, for many years, the province has been evaluated as a "bright spot", a friendly and efficient investment destination.

The Provincial People's Committee informed that, in the first 6 months of 2023, the number of newly established enterprises and registered capital of domestic and foreign investment projects increased significantly over the same period. Regarding domestic investment, over 800 new enterprises were established (an increase of 5.8% over the same period), the province now has over 16,000 enterprises registered for operation with a total registered capital of 362,517 billion VND; in which, 11,866 enterprises are operating. The province also granted investment certificates to 32 domestic projects, with a total newly registered capital of 35,492 billion VND. Up to now, the province has nearly 2,200 domestic projects with a registered capital of over 253,656 billion VND.

Regarding foreign investment, Long An granted investment certificates to 39 projects (an increase of 15 projects over the same period) with investment capital of over 408 million USD (an increase of 162 million USD). There are 1,191 FDI projects in the province with capital of over 10 billion USD; in which, 588 projects have been put into operation with total investment capital of over 3.6 billion USD.

Long An has risen to the top position in the Mekong Delta in terms of investment attraction and has a high position compared to the whole country. According to the General Statistics Office, the province's FDI attraction in 2022 ranked among the top 10 provinces and cities in the country and topped the Mekong Delta region; By the end of June 2023, Long An's FDI attraction has risen to rank 5th out of 63 provinces and cities in the country and continues to rank first in the Mekong Delta region (after Bac Giang, Nghe An, Binh Phuoc, and Bac Ninh). Currently, there are nearly 40 countries and territories investing in the province.

The province's point of view is to always accompany enterprises, consider the difficulties and success of enterprises as of the province.
