In the first 6 months of 2021, the economy of Long An province continues to develop: GRDP growth rate reaches 6.06 percent; in which all 3 regions have higher growth rates than the same period. GRDP scale reached 66,956 billion VND. Total state budget revenue increased sharply, reaching 10,888 billion VND. Achieving the above results has been greatly contributed by the business community, domestic and foreign investors in Long An province. Long An People's Committee respectfully acknowledges and appreciates the businesses’ important contribution to the development of the province in recent years.

However, the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in the province is presently becoming more and more complicated and unpredictable, with the risk of the disease spreading widely in the community, especially in factories, companies, enterprises inside and outside industrial parks and clusters is very high. Facing that situation, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Letter No. 6619/UBND-VHXH dated July 11, 2021 proposing to develop and implement the production organization with the motto "3 on site - production on the site, eating on the site and resting on the site" to ensure the production and business activities of enterprises are continuous and safe during the time of implementing social distancing according to Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 by the PM.
