Deputy Minister of Transport - Nguyen Nhat surveys on projects

Deputy Minister Nguyen Nhat highly appreciated the implementation progress of the NH 1 bypass expansion project (Tan An city section); noted some proposals of Long An province on dredging Vam Co Dong river and upgrading NH 62, NH N1, and so on.

The Deputy Minister requested Project Management Unit 7 to consider the proposal for the additional construction of the drainage system and paving asphalt concrete on the NH 1 bypass.

He asked Long An Provincial People's Committee to direct the People's Committee of Tan An City and related agencies to urgently carry out the land clearance and complete it on October 30.

Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Pham Van Canh asked Tan An City People's Committee to coordinate with the Measurement Center - Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Department of Transport to quickly complete the measurement documents of locations that haven't been cleared yet. By October 30, the site clearance must be completed and handed over to the construction unit to complete the project by the end of 2019.

The works are being focused on construction

According to the Deputy Head of Project Management Board 7 - Le Quoc Dung, the project has not cleared more than 1 kilometer in 9 locations with 21 affected households.

To date, the project has been implemented over 88 percent of the plan. In particular, Tan An bridge has completed over 95 percent of the progress. Expansion joints, balustrades and lighting systems are being implemented.

The total length of the project is nearly 5.9 kilometers. In which, the length of the road that is outside the urban area is about 4.56 kilometers. It is a grade-III plain road. The surface is more than 19 meters, the roadbed is over 20 meters wide and the design speed is 80 kilometers per hour.

The section that is located in urban area has a length of more than 1.3 kilometers. This is a street with a design speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The surface is 9 meters wide and paved with asphalt. Besides, the project also built a new bridge with a total budget of 350 billion VND, the Ministry of Transport is the investor. The bridge is on the downstream side. It is 2 meters far from the existing bridge. Its length is over 410 meters, the surface is 12 meters wide. It is expected to be completed in 12 months./.
