Ready to deploy first bidding package of Tan An city Ring Road project

On September 28, the construction unit kicked off the bidding package No.4 - Ring Road of Tan An City, Long An Province, the section from National Highway 1 to Pham Van Ngo street in Tan Khanh ward.

In early October, the project is going to be started

According to the Director of the Project Management Board of the Department of Transport - Pham Phuong Nam, the bidding package No.4 starts from Highway 1 to Pham Van Ngo street (through Tan Khanh ward) with over 1.4 kilometers long, 33 meters wide.

According to the plan, after the groundbreaking ceremony, in early October, the project is going to be started. It is expected to be completed by the end of May 2020.

This is one of the bidding packages that completes the site clearance in the shortest time. Mr. Nguyen Van Cong (Nhon Hau 1 neighborhood, Tan Khanh ward) said: "My house has 1,000m2 of rice land in the site clearance area. More than 5 months ago, I received compensation costs and handed over the land to the State”.

According to Chairman of People's Committee of Tan Khanh ward - Luong Cong Duc, in bidding package No.4, more than 120 households have land and structures to be recovered. They agree with the policy of implementing the project and the compensation price. At present, the compensation payment is basically completed.

According to the People's Committee of Tan An City, the Ring Road project is over 23 kilometers long and 33 meters wide. Its starting point is at the intersection of My Phu (My Phu commune, Thu Thua district), its endpoint is at the intersection of National Highway 1 - Provincial Road 833, Tan An City. This project is one of three key projects of the Tenth Provincial Party Committee of Long An Province (tenure 2015-2020).

This project is located in My Phu commune (Thu Thua district); Loi Binh Nhon commune, An Vinh Ngai commune, Binh Tam commune, Nhon Thanh Trung commune, Khanh Hau ward, Tan Khanh ward, ward 7, ward 5 (Tan An city).

The construction unit brings equipment and machines to prepare for the implementation of the bidding package No.4

After completion, the route will contribute to reducing the pressure on National Highway 1, bypass route of National Highway 1 (Tan An city section) and Hung Vuong road to suburban areas; avoiding traffic jams on holidays and New Year; creating a continuous transport axis to connect the urban centers of the city center (wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and Binh Tam commune) with the Northern urban area (ward 5, Huong Tho Phu and Nhon Thanh Trung communes) and the Southern urban area (Tan Khanh and Khanh Hau wards, Loi Binh Nhon and An Vinh Ngai communes).

This is a key project of the province. However, the project has still faced many difficulties in implementation because of obstacles in the site clearance process. Some households do not agree with the ground clearance to carry out functional areas on both sides of the road (each side is 20 meters wide).

There are 1,642 affected households from the implementation of the Tan An City Ring Road project. Currently, 1,326 out of 1,642 households have been approved for compensation plans; 1,066 out of 1,326 households have received compensation cost./.
