Long An has 18/20 industrial parks, 9 enterprises install wastewater monitoring stations

Up to now, Long An has 18/20 industrial parks (IPs) and 9 enterprises installing automatic and continuous wastewater monitoring station (referred to as station for short).

Long An Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment issued Document No.2597/STNMT-QLMT on August 17, 2018 on guiding and reminding investors of industrial parks and clusters to install and manage the station according to Circular No.24/2017/ TT-BTNMT dated on September 1, 2017 of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

Up to now, the province has 18/20 IPs and 9 enterprises installing automatic and continuous wastewater monitoring stations. Most of the stations of IPs and enterprises that have a large amounts of wastewater are connected to transmit data automatically and continuously to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

Specifically, according to updated data until April 17, 18 IPs have installed wastewater monitoring stations including Duc Hoa 1 Industrial Zone - Hanh Phuc, Nhut Chanh, Long Hau, Thai Hoa, Hoa Binh, Thuan Dao and Phu An Thanh, Cau Tram, Vinh Loc, Phuc Long, Tan Kim, Hai Son, Tan A Dai Thanh, Tan Duc, Xuyen A, Tan Do, Thinh Phat and Anh Hong.

2/20 IPs have not yet installed stations including Viet Hoa and Hong Dat. These IPs are expected to complete the installation and connection to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment at the end of June 2019.

In addition, 9 enterprises also have installed the stations including Sapporo Vietnam Co., Ltd, Viet Cuong Canned Food Co., Ltd., Huafu Vietnam Industry One Member Co., Ltd., Giavico International Food Co., Ltd., and S&S Co., Ltd. Fabrics, Dong Phuong Knitting Co., Ltd., Sigma Long An Co., Ltd., Vietnam Ching Luh Shoe Co., Ltd. and Formosa Vietnam Co., Ltd.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment - Nguyen Tan Thuan, in the coming time, the Department continues to monitor and require investors of IPs and clusters and other units that have a large amounts of wastewater to set up automatic and continuous wastewater monitoring stations and connect to the department./.
