Long An: Industrial parks have 875 operating enterprises

Up to now, in the whole province, IPs have a total of 875 operating enterprises

In which, there are 385 FDI operating enterprises (or projects) with total investment capital of USD 2.15 billion, 490 DDI enterprises with total accumulated investment capital of VND 21,950 billion.

Production and business activities of enterprises in IPs achieved more positive results. Accordingly, the first 6 months of 2019, the turnover of FDI enterprises in the IPs is estimated at USD 936 million, an increase of 3.63 percent compared to the same period in 2018. Particularly, the turnover of DDI enterprises is estimated at VND 9,605 billion, up 2.27 percent compared to the same period of 2018.

Workers in the leather, textile and garment sector account for 65 percent of the total labor force

Enterprises in IPs in the province create jobs for about 139,454 laborers. In which, there is 56 percent of female laborers and over 3000 foreign laborers. Besides, workers in the leather, textile and garment sector account for 65 percent of the total labor force./.
