Long An organizes Labor Promotion Conference with Okayama City (Japan)

Within the framework of the investment and labor promotion trip to Japanese localities, on October 10, the Long An Provincial Delegation led by the Standing Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial National Assembly Delegation - Nguyen Thanh Hai had a conference on labor promotion with and Okayama City, Japan.

The delegation was received by Chairman of the Okayama City Industry and Trade Association - Matsuda Hisashi, members of the Okayama City Business Association and Japanese enterprises interested in recruiting workers from Long An province to work in Okayama City.

In his welcoming speech, Mr. Matsuda Hisashi said he was very pleased to welcome the Long An Provincial Delegation. In 2023, the Long An Provincial Delegation visited Okayama City and signed a Memorandum of Understanding. In April 2024, the delegation of the Okayama City Industry and Trade Association also visited a number of production facilities and was very impressed with the development potential and infrastructure of Long An International Port.

Mr. Matsuda Hisashi believes that in the coming time, Long An will develop remarkably and hopes to have many more exchanges like this through various cooperation channels.

Currently, the labor shortage in Japan is increasing, while Long An province has a young and skilled workforce, so in the coming time, it is very necessary to have the support of Long An provincial leaders and businesses to send workers to work in Japan, contributing to reducing the shortage of human resources working in factories in Okayama City.

The Mayor of Okayama City highly appreciated the human resources that Long An Province sends to work at Okayama City's enterprises. He also said that after the visit to Long An in 2023, there is a lot of potential for cooperation between the two sides in many fields, as Long An Province has many conditions for further development.
