Long An: Over 1,400 new enterprises established in first 10 months of 2019

 In October, 10 new projects were granted with investment capital of 7.17 million USD. There are 7 projects increasing capital to 10.356 million USD; total newly and additionally granted capital of 17.5 million USD

In addition, in 10 months of 2019, the province had 158 enterprises dissolved, down 5 percent over the same period; 187 enterprises suspended their business, up 21 percent over the same period in 2018.

Regarding domestic investment enterprises, in October, the province granted investment certificates to 18 domestic investment projects, the total newly registered capital was 1,206 billion VND. In addition, there are 2 projects increasing the capital of 502 billion VND, total newly granted capital and increasing 1,708 billion VND. Accumulated from the beginning of the year until now, the province has granted 185 new domestic projects with newly registered investment capital of 21,408 billion VND, up 34 projects and 3,260 billion VND in registered capital compared to the same period in 2018. Up to now, the province has had 1,910 projects with a registered capital of 216,679 billion VND.

In the field of foreign investment, in October, the province granted 10 new projects with an investment capital of 7.17 million USD. There are 7 projects increasing capital to USD 10.356 million; total newly and additionally granted capital of 17.5 million USD. In the first 10 months of 2019, the province granted 109 new projects with a total newly licensed capital of 320.9 million USD, an increase of 38 projects and a decrease of 45.1 million USD in capital compared to the same period in 2018. Up to now, in the province there are 1,009 foreign investment projects, capital of 6,166 million USD, of which 576 projects come into operation, total investment capital is 3,614 million USD.

Since the beginning of the year, the province has decided to withdraw 11 foreign investment projects with the capital of 40 million USD and 35 domestic projects with an area of 2,497 hectares and capital of 23,526 billion VND.

Currently, the promotion of attracting domestic and foreign investment continues to be concerned by the provincial leaders, creating favorable conditions for investment and start-up businesses. In particular, the province directed functional agencies to focus on implementing solutions to invest in infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters to create more land fund to attract investment; intensifying the review of investment projects; rectifying unauthorized investment status; focus on performing tasks of site clearance and resettlement in the area. At the same time, the province focused on supporting and coordinating investors to speed up implementing key projects in the districts of Duc Hoa, Ben Luc, Can Duoc, Can Giuoc, Tan An city and so on, especially the procedures of construction planning, land, investment./.
