Long An Provincial People's Council prepares for organization of 19th meeting

In the first quarter of 2020, delegate groups of the provincial People's Council received 391 opinions and petitions sent to the provincial Standing People's Council to classify, summarize and transfer the provincial People's Committee and relevant functional agencies to consider and solve; perform well in meeting citizens at the candidate locations.

In addition, the delegate groups actively participated in preparing the content and successfully completed the tasks at the 17th meeting (the regular meeting at the end of 2019), the 18th session (extraordinary meeting); implemented social activities on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

However, according to the assessment of the provincial People's Council, activities of the delegate groups have still faced some difficulties and limitations, especially the meeting with voters, the monitoring and supervision of functional agencies in dealing with voters' petitions and long-standing urgent problems in the localities.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Mai Van Nhieu required the delegate groups to perform well before and during the 19th session, especially meeting with the local authorities where they stand for election and discuss, contribute the meeting content.

He asked each delegate to continue promoting their responsibilities and making time for activities of the People's Council. Delegate groups should actively monitor urgent problems arising in the localities and the implementation of resolutions of the provincial People's Council./.
