In 3 years (from 2016 to 2018), 34 vocational training classes were opened in Tan An city with nearly 900 learners, mainly training agricultural jobs such as planting dragon fruit, grapefruit, chili, vegetables and training some non-agricultural vocational classes such as making rice paper, teaching how to play organ, fabric making techniques, cooking, and so on.

After the course, most learners promoted their achieved knowledge, about 85% of them did their own family economy.

However, few learners applied to work at companies and enterprises after vocational training courses. It is also a common difficulty in vocational training associated with job creation in the city over the past time.

Besides, because training time is short, the learners’ skills after training have not met the requirements of the labor market. The vocational certificate has not been accepted by the labor market, so it is difficult for them to find a stable job. On the other hand, poor and near-poor households have to earn their own living, so it is difficult to recruit these learners attending the training courses.

At the survey, the delegation members asked many questions about the problems that exist in vocational training and job creation. After hearing the explanations from the City People's Committee and related sectors, the delegation proposed some solutions to solve difficulties and help vocational training associated with job creation in the province promote practical effectiveness, contributing to creating jobs and improving incomes for workers./.
