Tay Ninh focuses on accelerating the progress of key transport projects

On September 29, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Ut, chaired a meeting to hear reports from departments and units on the implementation progress of key transport projects. Nguyen Minh Lam, a Provincial Party Standing Committee member and vice chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, relevant departments and units reported on the implementation progress of the province’s key transport projects: Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road No. 4, the Duc Hoa arterial road, the Tan An – Binh Hiep road, and Provincial Road 827E.

The investment project for the construction of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road No. 4 was approved by the National Assembly under Resolution No. 220. Of the route, 74.5km runs through Tay Ninh Province and 3.8km through Ho Chi Minh City.

The Long An Project Management Board for Investment and Construction has completed surveying and is preparing the feasibility study report, which is expected to be approved before December 31, 2025. For site clearance, stakes have been handed over to localities in the first phase, covering about 70% of the route (around 55km). The remaining section, phase two, is scheduled to be handed over to local authorities by the end of November 2025.

Resettlement planning tasks have been defined, with feedback gathered from local specialised agencies. The planning design is being finalised, while the project awaits funding for investment preparation.

The Tan An – Binh Hiep road project has a total length of 63.5km with an investment of about VND 8,478 billion. The Duc Hoa arterial road project stretches about 23.5km with a total investment of 9,361 billion VND.

For these two projects, the consulting unit is preparing pre-feasibility study reports for submission to the appraisal council and the Provincial People’s Council to seek approval of investment policies. The Department of Finance, in coordination with relevant agencies, is leading a review and proposing adjustments to the provincial master plan related to the routes before submission for approval.

The Provincial Road 827E route is about 35.6km long, starting at the Can Giuoc River bordering Ho Chi Minh City and ending at the boundary with Dong Thap Province. Relevant units are continuing to carry out procedures in accordance with regulations to implement the project.

In his concluding remarks, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut urged relevant departments and units to expedite procedures and proactively address violations arising during project implementation. He stressed the importance of ensuring adequate resources and construction materials, and called for close coordination with localities along the routes to guarantee consistency and efficiency in implementation./.
