Governor of Svay Rieng Province - Men Vibol and the representatives of Svay Rieng Provincial Administration Board welcomed and worked with the delegation.

Over the past time, the two sides have made great efforts to implement the signed contents in the spirit of cooperation and mutual support to develop socio-economy. The two provinces have had a lot of investment in border infrastructure; upgrading and building roads connecting border areas, especially patrol roads and border belt roads.

Long An supported training 18 practitioners of Svay Rieng province in the medical intermediate level system; exchanged information, prevented and fought against epidemics; organized many medical examinations, dispensed medicine, and gave gifts to thousands of people in difficult areas in the border areas. Svay Rieng Provincial Cooperation Board cooperated, created favorable conditions for Team K73 Long An to search, exhume and repatriate the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who died during the war in Cambodia. The two sides cooperated, exchanged information, ensured security and order in the border areas; and so on.

Governor of Svay Rieng Province - Men Vibol welcomed the delegation of Long An province to work. He highly appreciated the efforts of the two provincial governments in the period 2016-2019 and thanked the Long An province's affection and support for Svay Rieng province, especially infrastructure development, free medical examination, treatment and medicine for Cambodian people.

Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can said that the conference is an opportunity to evaluate cooperation agreements in the past time; further tightening the friendship, cooperation and development between the two provinces in the coming time.

On this occasion, Long An province also handed over the monument of Hero of the Martyrs Nguyen Van Ngo (funded by the Long An province) to Svay Rieng province.

At the conference, the two sides signed an additional cooperation agreement with some contents. Accordingly, Long An will focus on investing and upgrading the main roads connecting border gates and border markets in Long An province; reviewing transportation routes connecting from administrative centers of border districts and towns to border gates, trails and open roads adjacent to Svay Rieng province.

Svay Rieng province is interested in speeding up the construction of asphalt road NH18 to Binh Hiep - Prey Vor International Border Gate,  etc. Long An supports training agricultural technicians suitable to the soil of Svay Rieng province. The two sides strengthened cooperation and investment activities, production and business development; create favorable conditions for goods of Long An province to access Svay Rieng market and vice versa, etc.

In addition, the two sides agreed to create favorable conditions for people of the two provinces to live, work stably and legally, in accordance with the laws of each country, and contribute to strengthening friendship relations, nice neighbors between the two sides; culture - sports exchanges on the occasion of holidays, new year of each party.

In addition, the Long An Provincial Steering Committee 515 and Svay Rieng Provincial Cooperation Board continue to coordinate and support in searching, exhuming and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who died in the wartime in Cambodia; etc.
