According to the "3-level tower" model, the 3rd level is deployed at Long An Lung Hospital (Field Hospital No. 01) and Long An General Hospital to treat serious and severe patients
Currently, the epidemic situation is becoming more and more complicated, requiring treatment capacity to meet the situation when the cases continue to increase. Therefore, Long An must have a treatment system that ensures the collection of all F0 cases and can also respond to treat severe cases. However, if it is necessary to set up many field hospitals at the same time, it will be costly and time consuming, so Long An will aim at a solution of stratifying patient treatment according to the asymptomatic patients, mildly ill and seriously ill patients at medical facilities.
Director of Long An Department of Health - Huynh Minh Phuc said that about 70-80 percent of F0 cases currently have no symptoms or mild symptoms. When the number of diseases is increasing day by day, the province will aim to deploy treatment according to the model of "3-level tower".
Accordingly, the first level is expected to be deployed at Dong Thap Muoi Regional General Hospital (new facility), treating Covid-19 patients with no symptoms or only mild symptoms, reducing the burden on the medical sector.
The second level is at medical centers with beds and regional general hospitals that receive and treat symptomatic Covid-19 patients.
The third level is deployed at Long An Lung Hospital (Field Hospital No. 01) and Long An General Hospital to receive and treat severe serious and severe Covid-19 patients.
Previously, this "3- level tower" treatment model solution was born and successfully applied in Bac Giang. Next, HCMC is also implementing.
With this treatment strategy, the health sector can proactively classify the severity of the patients’ levels for appropriate referral, contributing to reducing the pressure of overload at hospitals assigned to receive Covid-19 treatment and focus on treating severe cases, minimizing the mortality rate./.
