Long An's Natural Resources and Environment sector focuses on completing key tasks

According to the Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment - Vo Minh Thanh, the sector will focus on solving difficulties to complete key tasks

Since the beginning of the year, the Natural Resources and Environment sector has actively planned the implementation of the tasks of the year under the direction of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee. The sector offers 66 key tasks and solutions.

In the first 6 months of 2019, the Department focused on directing to complete the tasks and achieved some positive results. However, the Department has still faced some limitations and difficulties in the field of land; environmental pollution, especially the collection of daily-life garbage; water resources, minerals, meteorology - hydrology and climate change; inspection; etc.

Compensation, site clearance, and resettlement will be carried out in accordance with the Resolution No.77/NQ-HDND, dated December 08, 2017 of the Provincial People's Council and Conclusion No.720-KL/TU, March 29, 2019, of the Provincial Standing Committee

In the remaining months of 2019, the Natural Resources and Environment sector will focus on solving difficulties to complete key tasks. To be more specific, the department will implement administrative reforms under the overall state administrative reform program in the 2011-2020 period; simplify procedures to improve Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI); review legal documents related to the field of natural resource and environment in order to timely advise the issuance of regulatory documents and guidelines in accordance with the actual management situation in the localities; advise legal issues and participate in legal proceedings, state compensation and legal support for businesses, said the Director of Department of Natural Resources and Environment - Vo Minh Thanh.

In the field of land, the department will continue to implement land use planning until 2020 and annual land-use plan; establish the land use plan in 2020 of the district People's Committee to submit for appraisal and approval before December 31, 2019.

Compensation, site clearance, and resettlement will be carried out in accordance with the Resolution No.77/NQ-HDND, dated December 08, 2017 of the Provincial People's Council and Conclusion No.720-KL/TU, March 29, 2019, of the Provincial Standing Committee. The department will cooperate with local authorities to work with the resettlement project investor to grasp the implementation progress; urge the handover of the ground as well as the issuance of land use right certificates to people.

In the field of environment, the department will strengthen the inspection and supervision of activities of industrial parks and clusters as well as organizations that have large waste sources to prevent environmental pollution; definitely resolve environmental hot spots.

In addition, at the conference, the proposals and questions of the localities related to the field of natural resources and environment were answered by leaders of the departments and divisions./.
