Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee - Phung Khanh Tai, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long An Province - Nguyen Van Hien and nearly 200 delegates from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of 15 provinces in the southern region attended the conference.
The program on all people participating in environmental protection and climate change response in 2019 was implemented by the coordination between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

At the conference, delegates were reported about the state management on rational use of natural resources, environmental protection and response to climate change in Long An province as well as communication to raise community awareness about environmental protection and climate change response.
Particularly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front specially paid attention to the role and tasks of environmental protection, building typical models of environmental protection, monitoring the implementation of legal policies and natural resource exploitation, environmental protection and climate change response.
According to Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee - Phung Khanh Tai, all-level Fatherland Front, mass organizations and socio-political organizations, religions should continue to propagandize, advocate and guide people, organizations and businesses to participate in environment protection and climate change response more deeply and broadly, spreading more and more good models and effective ways in residential areas, units involving in environmental protection and climate change response through this conference.
Earlier, Prime Minister - Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a letter to central and local agencies calling on the whole country to join hands to solve the problem of plastic waste and protect the environment in order to call for people, organizations, agencies and businesses joining hands for a Vietnam with a healthy, safe and sustainable living environment, contributing to the international community to solve environmental pollution caused by plastic waste on April 25./.
