According to the Long An Provincial People's Committee, the province has currently received 159 projects from Japanese investors with a total registered capital of 1,091,856,955 USD; ranking 4th out of 41 countries and territories investing in the province.
Japanese projects in the province are mainly in the fields of manufacturing artificial wood panels and wood products, mechanical engineering, manufacturing and assembling electronic components, mechanical processing, processing agricultural and aquatic products, processing garments, animal feed, food processing, etc.
In the first 10 months of 2024, the import-export turnover of Long An and Japan is estimated at 494.4 million USD. Of which, exports are estimated at 326.8 million USD and imports are estimated at 167.6 million USD.
